Adventures of Eggnog Evergreen

Our Elf, Eggnog Evergreen, has been back since November 30th.  He was supposed to wait until Mr. No's birthday on December 1st but Mr. No just couldn't wait one more day!  Most of our book related adventures can be found in this post and here are the rest of them!

Day 1: Eggnog arrives in style

No silly reindeer for our elf! He came in an Angry Birds sleigh pulled by a fire breathing dragon.  Good thing the toys set out a landing strip for him!  So many come out to welcome him home!

Day 2: Happy Birthday Mr. No!

Eggnog really put some effort into this birthday!  He got Mr. No a few presents, put up his new Christmas tree and lights for him and put streamers on the doors and ceiling fan. He even bought a new outfit for the occasion!

Day 3: Candy Thieves!

Now we're not certain if Eggnog was stealing the candy (from the giant bag Auntie & Uncle got him) or if he was getting it back from Yeti, Rudy and Rise of the Guardians Elf #2.  The Big Boots Police Force will figure it all out!

Day 4: Green Eggs and Ham (previous post)

Day 5: Angry Elves

Eggnog decided to play with Mr. No's new game...and use the other elves as pigs!  He needed a rest between his 2 big story book adventures.

Day 6: The Magic Tree House (previous post)

Day 7:  Eggnosh Hangs up His Wash (previous post)

Day 8: Pez Thieves!

Eggnog tried to bring some Pez for Mr. No but the elves (and ogre) weren't going to let that happen!  Hmmm...now are they stealing the candy to get back at Eggnog for stealing theirs or for getting them in trouble for stealing?  Not sure but Eggnog means business with that sword!  Never steal Eggnog's gift for Mr. No.

Day 9:  Annual Tree Trimming Party

Every Year Eggnog gathers a few friends and makes some decorations for Mr. No.  He always knows how to bring the Christmas cheer!

Day 10:  Lego Convention

Eggnog felt a little left out when he couldn't come to the Lego Kids Fest with us so he held his own!  We didn't have the heart to tell him that a Lego Convention wasn't simply a party with the Lego guys.

Day 11: Home Alone

One of Mr. No's favorite movies is Home Alone.  Eggnog attempted to recreate that with what we had on hand.  You have to use your imagination a little but Mr. No recognized it and loved it!  Good thing we have 2 fresh elves to be the Wet Bandits.

I feel like my ideas this year are not as good as last year's.  Mr. No is happy but I'm trying to rein in the need to do more.

Goodbye Eggnog! (a little late)

While in the process of making an Eggnog Evergreen photobook of last year's adventures which Eggnog will bring with him when he returns this year, I realized that I never finished my series on Eggnog's adventures from last year.  Things get busy around Christmas and apparently I forget pretty much everything but now that Mr. No is in school full time I have a little time to catch up.  So here is the end of last year's adventures just a little early for this year's.  But if there's one thing I learned last year, it's never too early to start planning!  Last minute throw togethers are HARD!

Day 19: Evergreen's Travels

Rise of Guardians Elf seems to have recruited some new evil minions: Trashies! With their incredible numbers, they seem to have taken Eggnog down and are roping him to the rug!  I guess they were mad that Eggnog didn't take them out to play though I don't really blame him.  They are disgusting!

Day 20:  Angry Elves

Eggnog brought an early present for Mr. No!  Not sure if it was a Santa approved gift but our Eggnog does what he wants.  Looks like he challenged Rise of the Guardians Elf to a little game and he's wiping the floor with him!  Yay Eggnog!

Day 21:  Cowboys and Robbers

Apparently, Rise of the Guardians Elf is a sore loser!  So he's stealing Eggnog's gold in retaliation!  Bad, bad elf!  I hope they catch him!

Day 22:  A Little Research

Not sure Eggnog knows what to make of Mr. No's Zinkies.  I don't know if he's ever seen toys so tiny before.  He's certainly examining them closely!

Day 23:  SuperElf!

Eggnog made himself a spiffy little mask and cape (stealing my sewing material again!!!) and is flying high with Spiderman and few other superheroes! There's a lot going on in the town below.  The villains seems to be rushing to the jail! I wonder who's in there...oh, of course!  It had to be Rise of the Guardians Elf causing all the trouble!

Day 24:  Rockin' around the Christmas Tree

The toys all got together to throw a goodbye party for Eggnog since tomorrow is his last day here!  They thought of everything...lights, music, decorations, snacks and even the perfect going away present for Eggnog!  Rise of the Guardians Elf all wrapped up!  Aww how sweet!

Day 25:  Eggnog's Goodbye

Our last day of Eggnog's Antics are here and he made sure that he left on good terms!  He brought gifts, left Mr. No an wonderful handwritten goodbye and even made us elf sized pancakes for breakfast!  Yum!  Thanks, Eggnog!  We'll miss you!

So finally, there is the end of our Eggnog adventures!  All of his other adventures can be found here:  week 1, week 2 and week 3.

Elves Love Toys!

Eggnog has been a very busy elf the past week and a half!  He's really started digging through Mr. No's toys, having lots of fun and making a few friends.

Day 9: A Pirate's Life for Me!

Eggnog made himself a little eye patch, dragged a blue blanket over for the ocean, jumped in the Dragon Ship and set off to find not-so-buried treasure. Unfortunately, not only were other pirates (see the Rise of the Guardians elves in the little boat?) seeking the same treasure but the treasure was being guarded by a sea monster and piranha and a trio of ghosts!  Good luck with that adventure, Eggnog!  Mr. No played with this set up for half the day!

Day 10:  Monkeying Around

Eggnog decided that he wanted to find out what it would feel like to be a monkey.  He got 2 barrels of monkeys to agree to show him!  He was the middle of the chain that reached from the ceiling almost to the floor.  Rise of the Guardians Elves were lying on the stool below him just waiting for him to fall. We took Eggnog down but Mr. No counted out he days left until Christmas and left some up to serve as a Christmas countdown.

Day 11:  Ready? Set? Go!

Eggnog dug around for some paper sacks (Max brought his own) and challenged a few friends to a friendly little sack race. Of course, He rigged it so he would win.  We did get a fresh one.

Day 12:  Strike!

Eggnog really dug in the back of the closet for this one!  He found the old bowling set that never really stood up to well and challenged Hulk to a game. Looks like Hulk is getting a little frustrated.  I think Eggnog is cheating.  Look how big his bowling ball is compared to Hulk's.  If you look closely at the pins,  Rise of the Guardians Elf is peeking out.  Wonder if he was going to help Hulk out?

Day 13:  Godzilla Attacks!

oops! they ended up a little blurry when I hastily resized them into this!
Eggnog needed a little back up for this one!  The Godzillas are attacking Go-Go city!  See all the poor Go-Gos run!  Luckily Eggnog, sock bunny (homemade by Mama!) and Beanie lizard found Mr. No's stash of nerf guns!  Good thing they build that clever little wall to hide behind but I'm not sure the bullets are doing much to Godzilla and his friends.

Day 14: Scout Camp Out

Aww, Eggnog was doing something nice!  He took the Lalaloopsy kids on camp out.  Of course, he kept the tent for himself and Gremlin.  Not so thrilled that he raided my fabric stash but at least he made sure they were warm.

Day 15:  Winter Wonderland

Eggnog got into the craft supplies that night and created a winter wonderland in the playroom. He decided to team up with He-man, Man-At-Arms and Link to snowball battle Ogre, Clayface and the Aliens.  You can't see him but Rise of the Guardians Elf is hiding in the Alien's castle.  Such a baby!

Day 16:  Scooby Doo, Where Are You?

Eggnog got the whole gang together and even took a ride in the mystery machine!  Too bad the entire town is infested with monsters and ghost.  I'm sure Velma can figure out who's behind all the spooky happenings so Eggnog can help Freddy with some traps.

Day 17: Revenge of the Elf

Mr. No says he's been having nightmares and so he's been sleeping in our room.  Apparently, Eggnog is not too happy about that.  He wrapped string all around his room, decorated his tree with socks and hung undies everywhere!  And we caught him red handed!

Day 18:  Jewel Thief

Eggnog was up to no good once again!  He stole the Imaginext dinosaurs crystals.  Good thing he found the huge dino get away on.  If you wonder how they found out, just look for the Rise of the Guardians Elf on the brachiosaurus' back.  Little tattletale!

Only a week left until Christmas!  Hopefully I can dig up a few more good ideas!  It's starting to get a little harder now.  More Eggnog adventures here  here and here.
