Yummy things are growing! This is the first year I've ever tried to grow any veggies and I'm so excited by all the veggies started to grow! hopefully I can get out this wee and get some photos of veggies on the plants but we have mustard spinach, beans, peas, tomatoes, zucchini, summer squash and carrots all growing. I'm so ready for the deliciousness!
We've already had some tangy spinach and this week I picked the first set of squash flowers to fry up. My Grandma used to always make up fried squash blossoms when we were kids and they were delicious! Mine were super tasty but not as yummy as hers.

And Mr. No insists on eating the carrots even though they really aren't big enough yet. They are the supposed to be the little sweet onesbut they're still a little too little. Here's the one he wanted with his dinner.
Hopefully we'll have more deliciousness this week!
How wonderful! We just planted tomatoes this year, but I love summer fresh veggies!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I have never heard of squash blossoms! My veggie garden was eaten by the rabbits this year....I will be moving it to the other side of the yard next year ;) Thanks for stopping by and saying hello.
